Model FT-8800R Mobile
This is a quick set guide for more easily programming your Yeasu model listed above.  The scetch indicates only those controls necessary for programming.

REGULAR MEMORY CHANNEL OPERATION – With no extras, this procedure will allow you to easily program frequencies into memory.  Become familiar with your radio before attempting any of the following procedures.  There are many more bells and whistles available, but this is the basic quick set up.

 

 


  • Press VIM to access vfo mode.
  • Press DIAL ˝ second for band selection.
  • Select the desired frequency
  • Press SET
  • Within 10 seconds, press DIAL
  • Turn the dial to the desired memory channel.
  • Press SET momentarily.
  • You’re done.

  • CTCSS Operation - The following instructions will set your encode frequency and assign it to the memory channel you have chosen in the previous step.  Additional steps allows for alpha numeric characters in the display, but are not included here.  These instructions are intended to get you up and running quickly with the least amount of steps.
  • Press SET momentarily
  • Rotate DIAL to menu 41 (Tone M)
  • Press DIAL momentarily, turn to ENC
  • Press DIAL momentarily, turn to menu 40 (Tone F)
  • Press DIAL momentarily.
  • Press DIAL momentarily again & select tone frequency.
  • Press DIAL for ˝ second.
  • You're done.
